Located within Happytat on Stokes Croft is The Second Coming. A start-up social enterprise hairdresser that offers no fuss, no jargon, just a great cut at a great price. There is a unique story behind the origins of this shop through its owner Athonell. After being released from incarceration in 2017, he has dedicated himself to giving back to his community and making full use of his second coming. Anthonell volunteers extensively within the community, cleaning neighbours houses and cars, and uses his hairdressing skills to offer people who are homeless a trim! He is also closely associated with charities such as MentorMe and Love Bristol, which help ex-offenders effectively integrate back into the community. His dedication was noted by Love Bristol, who offered him the opportunity to set up his own hairdressing business and he hasn't looked back. His story is inspiring and his generosity to the community is humongous - and his hairdressing isn't half bad either!
