The World Reimagined
The World Reimagined is a national art education project to transform how we understand the Transatlantic Slave Trade and its impact on all of us, so we can make racial justice a reality, together. Bristol is one of seven cities hosting a trail of 10 large globe sculptures, one for each of the nine themes of the Journey of Discovery, and a tenth designed by an artist in collaboration with local community groups.
St Nick’s Night Market
Located at St Nicholas Market (St Nick’s), the event will be spread across St Nicholas Street, Corn Street, Exchange Avenue and All Saints Lane, bringing the Old City to life. Visitors will be able to enjoy a wide selection of stalls selling food and drinks from local producers and suppliers. There will be a variety of entertainment and multicultural food offered throughout the evening.
Little Amal
Join Amal between 4pm and 6pm as she walks through the historic Old City, starting at King Street to Bristol’s famous St Nicholas Market on Corn Street - hearing music and watching performances by local artists and meeting local communities - before leaving the city at the Harbour.
St Nick’s market pop-up museum
A new pop-up museum has opened in St Nick’s Covered Market showcasing some of the market’s rich history. Visitors have the opportunity to get involved in activities including printing workshops and guided tours to help paint a picture of the changes and life at the market over the last 280 years. The museum is located opposite Treasure Island Sweets within the Covered Market, open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 11am to 4pm.
